    Are you a whiz with numbers and a master of meticulous record-keeping? If you’re an eagle-eyed individual who thrives on streamlining processes and ensuring accuracy, then McCarthy Marland has the perfect opportunity for you!

    We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our vibrant team as a Purchase Ledger Clerk. In this vital role, you’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth flow of our financial operations.

    Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Maintain shared mailbox
    • Set up supplier accounts
    • Process supplier invoices and accurately code and obtain authorisation
    • Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
    • Post payments from bank
    • Maintain and control direct debit schedule
    • Maintain and control hire purchase schedule
    • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices
    • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies
    • Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

     

    Who you are:

    • Minimum 12 months experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk
    • Proficient in using Sage 200 and Excel
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse financial data and identify discrepancies
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks
    • Knowledge of Zahara purchase order system is a plus
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
    • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices
    • A natural problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment.
    • A team player who enjoys building positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
